Well, I haven't updated this thing in almost 6 months, so I figured it would be a good time to do it. I've been around, checking on here sporadically, but I graduated from high school last month so I've sort of been dealing with that and some family issues. But this isn't the time or place for that...
SO Harry Potter. Went with ~
Lasrin and my little brother Devin last night and saw it. I had advanced tickets. I know, you either don't give a rat's ass or you're insanely jealous. Either way I don't really care. Because the movie was crap.
It wasn't crappy because of the cinematography. THAT WAS WONDERFUL! The director used so much more landscaping, much more than in the last movies. But that's about it. That's the only praise I will give the director.
There's praise to be given to the actors, though. The roles that were played to perfection, in my opinion, were Snape, Belatrix, Ron, Slughorn, and DRACO! Seriously, those five characters were perfectly captured by their actors. I would also add in Fenrir Greyback, just because I like him and he did a really nasty job! OMFG I LOVE HOW THEY DRESSED DRACO. Such a fine guy!
So the criticisms... uh well... THEY RUINED THE PLOT! First off, they took the whole "wow my hormones are raging" to a whole new level. Seriously, I thought for a moment that I was watching some teenage soap opera. It got a little boring, but I think that's because I like the adults in the story more than the kids. Another thing, they don't even make a big deal about Snape being assigned the Defense Against the Dark Arts position! That was supposed to be a HUGE DEAL! They don't even have a scene of him teaching it! They also took out the HUGE BATTLE AT THE END! THEY DIDN'T HAVE BILL AND FLEUR, AND THEY BARELY EVEN HAD LUPIN AND TONKS! They barely alluded to their relationship when Tonks calls Lupin "sweetheart." BAHHHH. I'm soooo angry! OH and they didn't inclue the funeral scene! The ending was soooo horrible I was stunned that it just ended. Just like that!
Instead of a funeral, they did this little thing were the students all raised their wands and "saluted" him sort of. That was a sad scene. I also think they did an okay job with the QUIDDITCH SCENE!!! It was pretty epic, I must say.
So all in all, see it just to say you saw it, but the books are so much more enjoyable than the movies! (except the third one which, in my opinion, the movie did a good job in depicting.)
So I think this means that I'll be on here more often. But idk, this might just be a fluke because I'm bored and angry.
Oh and I have a Tumblr. It's a blog, in case you've been living in a damp, dark hole for the last few months.
